Balance Transfer help

Options
Hi,

I have a credit card where most of the debt is interest free but there is some of the balance that I am being charged interest on.

I have an second old credit card that have offered me a 0% balance transfer but the credit limit on this card will only cover the bit I am being charged for on Card A. If I did a balance transfer from card A to card B does it proportionally split the balance from the bit that is interest free and a bit that is isnt? Is there a way to transfer only the bit that is accruing interest?

thanks

A balance transfer is just a way of paying one credit card with another.

These days when you pay a credit card you pay of the part that is accruing interest first, whereas in the past it was the other way around.

So id check with your card provider first but yes in theory a balance transfer for the balance accruing interest should work ok.
