Hi, I have received a PCN and would realy appreciate any advice on how to respond as my problem is not straightforward.
We parked on a private land car park last week, my partner went to the machine where he put in £2 to allow for up to a 2 hour stay, the photos that came with the notice showed on the ticket only £1 had successfully been deposited and therefore only a 1 hour stay ( I can only assume the other £1 would drop out of the machine perhaps where you would get change etc) my partner did not notice this when he put the ticket on the dashboard.
I have read quite a few of your threads regarding parking notices and have understood in 2015 private land car park were made to be like council car parks and have to leave a ten minute leeway either side.
So my question is when I appeal ( I understand by the threads also that it will be refused and I will then have to appeal to POPLA) do I try to appeal on the grounds I have explained above regarding we did pay the required amount but unfortunately my partner failed to notice it had only credited £1 or is it better to appeal on the grounds that the PCN was photographed as being only one minute after the hour was up and there is supposed to be 10 minutes leeway, we arrived back at the car just before the two hours would have been up.
Thankyou for reading this post, any help is very much appreciated.

Complain to your MP. On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Hi sorry I have made a mistake, the time the photo was taken was 11 minutes after the 1 hour not 1 minute, so I won’t be able to appeal on the grounds of 10 minute grace.
Please could you advise me if I can still appeal regarding we did put the £2 in but only one registered and my partner unfortunately did not notice?0 -
Right, so this was ANPR cameras showing your car arriving exactly how many minutes before he paid?the time the photo was taken was 11 minutes after the 1 hour not 1 minute, so I won’t be able to appeal on the grounds of 10 minute grace.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
