CP PLUS Charge Notice

Having just got hammered with a Euro Parking Services Ltd stitch up parking fine for £265 which has to be paid to County Court I have now received yet another of these evil “Charge Notices” this time from CP PLUS.
Here goes beginning of March 2019, due to severe tiredness I stopped at Moto Cherwell Valley services off the M40 and had a 1/2 hour rest, went to start my van and it wouldn’t after checking the starter motor had failed, I called the RAC, waited nearly 2 hours for them to arrive, they couldn’t start it so we bump started and I got on my way.
Just over a week later I get a CP PLUS Charge Notice demanding £100 required within 28 days reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days, for overstaying the 2 hour free parking period.
I have been away from home working in Scotland and have just received this, as I was forced to be there due to my vehicle breaking down do I have a reasonable argument to rebuff their claim, what are the chances of succeeding fighting, they have sent 2 letters with my name and address on it with 2 awful quality photographs of my vehicle arriving and leaving (almost indistinguishable as to vehicle type), but the number plate blown up by enhancement on number plate recognition.
Is there any value to writing to their Appeals Department at Barnet, I assume they will be the atypical unbending con merchants and use it for other means if I do.
Can I politely request some advice on fighting it or paying it? Thank you.

At the top of this board is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. In that thread are templates for you to use. C P Plus often fold at seeing the template from the first post in that thread.0

Please send me the link had a look through Newby's can't see the one your referring to.0

It's in: -**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!Template appeal for BPA or IPC members - copy this wording into the online appeal box::0

complain as KEEPER to MOTO (preferably their CEO by email) before appealing it, but do not miss the 28 day appeal deadline
the BLUE TEXT template is used for the C P PLUS appeal, as KEEPER, no mentioning who was driving , so edit your posts above
only use the words DRIVER and KEEPER, otherwise you will keep on paying out hundreds of pounds due to TMI (Too Much Info)
and use a laptop, not a phone0 -

At that time a lot of regular posters here pointed you in the right direction.
You confirmed then that you had found the template:securitymatters wrote: »Further to the previous I went to the newby’s thread suggested and found the template, edited it as necessary and sent it to their email address stated on the paperwork.
It's bad enough answering the same question for different people, but for the same person twice...0 -

No link needed. Top of the forum. See my signature.
CP Plus will fold, easy easy easy. Use the forum template.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Thanks found and copied, just one thought on template where it says "You can (carefully!) add a little to the template above, 'in order to resolve the dispute I attach copies of..." will it assist or impede the issue of exceeding the 2 hour free parking period if I produce proof that the RAC were called out to the vehicle and resolved the break down, being the cause of the overstay at the time?0

That's fine to include on the premise it doesn't reveal who the driver was.0

I wouldn't bother with that. It is widely thought that many parking companies don't even bother to read most appeals.0 -
Ok much appreciated I will leave it out just fire off the template. Ta0
