Smart Parking/Land Owner Dead Lock

Hello,
I have looked through some threads and read the newbies FAQ, so am aware of the limited/non-existent power that Smart Parking and Debt Recovery Plus have to take me to court and fine me, however I have an additional problem that has arisen.
The land owner (in this case a Leisure Centre) has requested that my PCN be cancelled as I was authorised to park there. However, Smart Parking are now saying that the new PCN is not authorised to be cancelled by the leisure centre. As a result the leisure centre have said there isn't really any more they can do...
As this has dragged on for so long, it is now in the hands of DRP.
Any help or advice would be really appreciated - and I apologise if I've missed a similar piece of info somewhere else.
Many thanks

Go back to to the Leisure Centre and tell them that they're Smart's employer (principal), so they can get it cancelled: they need to go back to Smart and reiterate the cancellation order.
Also get it in writing about the cancellation and authorisation for you to park there.
Personally, I'd also be politely but firmly telling the Leisure Centre manager/staff member that, if this does go to court, they'll be summoned as a Defence witness.
You may be able to get them to do something by raising a fuss on Twitter or Facebook, or contacting their head office (if they have one)?0 -
Get your MP to write to complain to Smart and to the Leisure Centre.
There can be no 'legitimate interest' in pursuing a parking charge against an authorised person, where the retailer/landowner wants the charge cancelled.
And if the Leisure Centre have signed a contract that gives them NO RIGHT to cancel one, then the answer for them is obvious, they need to end the contract.
Or, is it not the Leisure Centre that contracted Smart, maybe it's a site agent?
Complain to THEM if so.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is great - thank you.
I have been trying to get copies of the emails that have been sent between the leisure centre and Smart Parking so I can gather some trail. I do have a copy/pasted message from the LC with what SP have said, which is helpful as it states that the LC have requested the cancellation.
I am also awaiting contact details for the General Manager of the establishment, and have also contacted my local MP.
Due the nature of my employment I'm not really in a position to make a fuss on a social media platform, but my wife will be able to!
Again, much appreciated, thank you.0 -

Having spoken on the phone with the LC, I know that the company that employed SP is the chain that runs the LC.0 -
If the LC is a chain, then they will have a head office - so that gives you an extra target/avenue to complain to0

Thanks again.
An unbelievable situation for what is a free car park.
Will give an update if/when I get hold of the general manager.0 -
Don't let the general manager hide from you, OP.
You're in the right, they've promised to cancel, and they just haven't kept their promise and lied to you about it.0 -
Thank you to all for advice.
I received an email today confirming that the PCN has been closed and no further action is required.0 -
