Right lets get down to the facts.
You booked a holiday?
You then cancelled it?
How long after the original booking did you cancel?
What did the T & Cs say about cancellation?
How much money have you lost?
If you can answer these questions then things may become clearer. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
what is the timescales?
you made a booking request asking them to book a holiday at £x price
the fact that the 'advertised' price on their website was cheaper than the real price looks like non-live pricing issue
what were the t&cs regarding cancelling?0 -
Thanks for your reply0

Presumably it was a non package holiday?
I say that because they mention the 72 hours on their Terms and Conditions.

I believed it was a package holiday but it was a flight and a hotel booked in one0

Just because you booked flights and hotel on one booking doesn't mean it was a package.
Look at the first FAQ on their website.
The online system is not a live booking system. The orders processed are on a request only basis. Once orders are received by our office they are checked by our agents with our various suppliers, brokers and airlines for whom we act as agents.
Should we not be able to honour the booking for any reason e.g. cost and/or availability discrepancy, we will inform you to offer any suitable alternatives which are then up to you to accept or not. In these cases no payment is taken unless you agree. For your peace of mind all card details are encrypted.
There are less and less 'Package Holidays' these days.
OK IF you go direct to a company like TUI, Thomas Cook or Jet2 then you will get a package holiday but if you choose to go with an online travel agent then you really ought to research in advance what you will be getting. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0
