Hello! First-time poster here- have received a demanding letter from 'ZZPS' and would love some help.
I've had a read through all the FAQ's but I'm quite confused as to what next step I should make.
NCP, National Car Parks, sent a PCN for 'parking in a restricted area in a car park' in Upminster Station on 29/12/2018 which I have not seen, I never received it. On 11/03/2019 I then received a letter from ZZPS, claiming that it had been passed to them to resolve.
They are demanding £170, which they claim includes late payment and debt recovery charges!
I did try and call ZZPS but it just went on hold for an hour, I ended as I do have a life!
I don't know who was driving the car at the time, but one of my family has a BB and the station at Upminster has an extremely limited amount of BB spaces, they may have parked here to save the mile walk as she'd bad with her legs. But I don't know who was at the wheel of the car.
ZZPS have also written on the letter; 'For your information, a recent Supreme Court ruling (ParkingEye -v- Beavis) has confirmed that a parking charge issued on private land is enforceable and the parking charge does not breach the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations 1999' I imagine to scare me a bit more!
Any help as to what I should do now would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

If you’ve read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky you could not have missed the advice to ignore debt collectors.
Come back to this thread should NCP or their solicitors issue you a formal Letter Of/Before Claim which gives you 30 days to respond. It will not come from ZZPS.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

So ZZPS are debt collectors- it just isn't made all that clear on the letter.
Therefore I ignore it, correct?
Thank you again0 -
You/we don't need any threads about debt collector stage, as post #4 of the NEWBIES thread begs people to avoid posting, please!
We are too busy here to repeat the IGNORE word ad infinitum.
Come back when you get a claim. Reply here and change the title of the thread if and when that happens, and we will assist, as long as you've read the second post of the sticky thread and know what's what - i.e. how to defend and probably win.
You will be glad we are strict here and that we don't waste time on DRP and ZZPS threads, when you really need us later...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
