Unsolicited PPI company - recorded delivery

Hello
I got a card through my door the other day saying I had a recorded delivery letter to collect. Thankfully I dont get many as it’s a nightmare our rural Royal Mail office is only open for a few hours in the morning - always when I’m at work. Today I actually took a couple of hours off work so that I could go collect this blinking letter which involved me driving quite a few extra miles as well. To my horror when I got the letter it was from a PPI company that I’ve never heard of - Abacus management. Saying they thought I might be able to claim Etc. I didn’t even live in the uk when ppi was being sold so I know I dont have anything.
I’m so angry that they recorded delivery mailed me. I thought it was something really important - last time I got a recorded delivery letter it was an urgent recall for my car!!
The company aren’t answering the phone.
What can I do to stop them doing this again?
Thanks

Not a lot. You can complain to them, but then they would would probably bombard you with more spam. You could send it back to them with not known at this address.
Personally, I'd probably ignore it. Or take a note of their return to address and don't accept any more mail from them [ask who sent it before you sign for it]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
This firm must have money to burn if they are sending junk mail via Recorded Delivery!:eek:I actually took a couple of hours off work so that I could go collect this blinking letter which involved me driving quite a few extra miles as well.0
