Am i missing something here?
I'm currently switching Electricity suppliers but their website doesn't have a contact telephone number! (I'm sure it applies to other Companies too)
My hypothetical (so far!) question is, "If I have power supply problem & I need to contact the Company it suggests I use their Website for which i would need power"
How would i contact the Company?
Or is that a question that doesn't need to be asked?

Welcome to the forum.
Power supply problems are not dealt with by the electricity supplier, but the power distribution company for your area. EG.

Thank you for your welcome
I was thinking more of a isolated (i:e: "main fuse" blown) problem, more than a general supply outage.0 -
If your main fuse has blown, and only your property is affected you need an electrician to fix it for you. Not the supplier0

It is still the power distribution company. You could have your electricity supplied by any one of twenty suppliers.
You could have British gas today, Eon tomorrow and say, Npower in a few weeks.0 -

It does seem ridiculous that these suppliers are allowed by OFGEM to stop direct telephone communications from their customers..
I know when I need to contact TalkTalk for instance , a contact number is there but it can still take some finding. They prefer to keep it all automated rather than spend money on expensive to run call centres.
Different matter with energy companies as the problems could also be to do with their prepay key/card meters which are constantly providing problems or with a customer wanting to complain direct to the supplier about some other problem to do with billing or meter reading problems. A direct telephone number is always needed with every supplier IMO0
