I can't think of a reason for it to run slowly unless the disk drive is full or it became faulty.
Can you go to click on the apple icon>about this Mac>storage. What does it show there? Are you sure you moved all of your documents to the cloud and turned off sync? It may leave a local copy of the document for faster access.0 -
