Spark Energy - High usage from faulty appliance, will I have to pay the whole amount?

Why should Spark subsidise you for your faulty appliance ? How on earth can Spark possibly know you might have a faulty appliance.
A faulty meter is a possibility but you need to do your own checks first.
One possibility is that you have an immersion heater switched on- or a panel heater or.............
Some more details please - flat ? electric heating ? are your meter reads ACTUAL or ESTIMATED - please post themNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I checked the meter by turning all fuse switches off and took a picture of the meter. It turns out that the meter has increased even though everything was off. So, it wasn't a faulty appliance, but it was the meter. Now I'm trying to get Spark in to fix or replace it.
I know it probably sound stupid that that's not the first thing I checked. It's just I was told by my letting agency to contact Spark if there's anything about the meter and I followed their procedure (completing the meter usage form, etc.) which takes me 2 months until my coworker kindly advice me to check the meter by turning everything off.
Hence, I'm editing my previous post.0
