Help with Norton ... Please?

Options
I have Norton on my computer as protection, my friend sorts all this out for me ( he also keeps the discs in case I lose anythig not that I have been known to !! ) and last night I ran a full scan, I noticed that I had 121 days left on the subscription, however last night after I had finished on the computer my nimble fingered daughter turned the computer back on and did something before it had loaded up ~ when I came into the room the screen was mostly blue with a date setting screen, to be on the safe side I ESC out of everything and didn't save anything.
When I now go on the computer it is telling me that my subscription has expired ~ I did notice that the date on my computer had been changed ( remember nimble fingered daughter ) I have .'. amended it back via control panel..... but still no joy, I have even tried to set it for an earlier date to see if that rectified it but it didn't.
Not sure when my friend can get to me and am concerned that I am not protected, I also have another problem as Norton will not let me switch the phishing protection on although everything else I can switch on and off.
i am not very technical ( as you can prob tell !!) any help would be much appreciated

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

AS sleep2much says and then click on restore my computer to an earlier time and click on next.
Then pick a date when the pc was ok and follow the instructions.

When your Norton does expire, take the easy route and use AVG or Avast.

I agree wholeheartedly, norton just takes over your pc and in my opinion slows it down and causes problems with other software.
  • thanks for the replys ~ tried the restore several times with different dates but just kept saying no changes had been made, Norton does say it has expired but deffo 121 days left last night before DD touched it !

With regard to AVG and Avat and how do I get one of them as I said before my friend normally sorts this sort of thing out for me.

    I like Norton.

I like Norton too and have never had problems before, I know how to use it usually and would be able to remove it, butdon't know why last night I had 121 days of my subscriptin left and today it says it has expired.
