Help! Can't respond to claim on MCOL!

My wife has been sent a Claim Form from Northampton County Court. The claim has an issue date of 13th March, but the papers only arrived yesterday (26th March).
According to the form, we have 14 days from the date of service (5 days after the issue date) to acknowledge service, so we should still be within the time limit.
However, we have tried to enter an Acknowledgement of Service via MCOL this evening, but are getting the message "A bar has been put in place on this claim. You cannot respond to the claim at this time."
What should we do in this case? Should we send the AoS form by post, or is it worth ringing the court and trying to find out why there is a bar?

Read this thread:
Same problem. Same Claim Issue Date.
I suggest that you do the same as that poster is apparently doing.0 -
Is this related to your earlier thread?
If so, why have you started a second thread about this incident?0 -
Sorry - did not realise that this was not the done thing. Also, thought it might be a generic problem with MCOL rather than being related to the particular incident.
Anyway, we spoke to a very nice lady at Northampton County Court who agreed that we were still within the deadline to submit the AoS and suggested we send it via email, which we have done.
She was not able to explain why the bar was in place on MCOL.0 -
Complain to your MP. On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
