Could I review a CCJ without knowing?

Hello everyone, I revived a parking ticket about 8 months through the post from number plate information they got from the DVLA and have since moved house. I have maybe done the worst thing and just ignored all letters, just couldn’t afford it at the time and that was the advice I was given. I changed over the ownership of the car to the new address and presumed that if they would pursue if they would be able to get my new address from the same information source they did originally but haven't received anything at my new address. Is this correct? The parking ticket was from UKCPS and then was passed on to debt recovery plus ltd. Is it possible I could have been given a CCJ judgment without knowing to my old address and is there any way of finding out? Any help would be much appreciated!

  • yes it is possible you now have a ccj

we have suggested NOT NOT NOT to ignore parking Cos first letter for the last 6 yrs (since protection of freedom act 2012)

the parking co can only ask for your info ONCE from the DVLA , they may try to trace you to issue court papers , they may not

go online with credit agency to see if you have outstanding ccj (noddle)

then you need to contact there data controller with your PCN number and possably date and inform them of new address

Is this anything connected with your other thread about a UKCPS parking charge?

Check your credit rating with something like Experian - that will tell you if you have a CCJ issued against you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

  • Hello, yes its the same fine. Thank you I have just checked and nothing there, all is good so hoping nothing has happened.
  • ok so are just going to leave it or are you going to inform hem of your new address
  • I'm going to inform them of my new address, but not state the name of the driver?
  • Yes sorry no problem! Or would it be best if I deleted this one entirely and added more info to the other?
  • Thank you for your response, I've just checked and nothing on my credit record thankfully.

I would let this thread die - after all, it does have a silly title ;) - and continue to progress your issue on your older thread.
  • Ahhh I didn't mean for the stupid title, was autocorrect, but I agree haha!
