NHS Physio Assessments

Hi,

Has anyone been through an NHS physio assessment. They stated they would help us pair us up with local services after an assessment?

Is income and savings taken into account?

I have recently been in need of a physio. My GP referred me - and, as it happens, there is a physio who comes to our surgery a couple of times
a week

I got an appointment (and follow up appointments) quickly and there was no charge. It's helped - although, I would say that talking to friends who have had private physio he spent less time with me. Although maybe what he saw and recommended were pretty straightforward

I also need physio, I was referred from my GP so i'm hoping there's no charge?

From the NHS website it does seem like it is free unless you are self referred

My area have a self referral scheme , after visiting my GP with knee pain i was told basically "get on with it " its arthritis .

I went for a physio assessment and it turns out one knee cap is moving sideways aggravating the arthritis , he gave me exercises to do with resistance bands which have helped .

My area is self referral for physio, its NHS and no charge, have to wait for months though.

I self referred and it was free.

Postcode dependent, I waited three weeks.

does anyone know if your denied a referral to the gym if you've been assigned a zimmer by the NHS?

Again, you need to speak to your local gyms to understand their rules.
