Ukcps parking ticket - moved home

Hello everyone,
I know this has been spoken about on other threads but I have a couple of case-specific problems I was wondering if someone could help me with!
I was basically playing a gig at a venue in summer of last year in what I believed to be the car park for the venue and had used many times before, only to receive a UKCPS parking ticket in the post about a week later with photos of my car taken at around midnight. They were pretty close up of the car and it could really have been anywhere. I looked online and people just said to ignore it which I did, I then received a couple more letters followed by a letter from Debt Recovery Plus. About a month later I moved home and on the contact section of Debt recovery plus I messaged saying I was moving home and to contact me via email for further correspondence and that I reject all debt. That is the last I heard and has been about 9 months, but for all I know I could be getting letters sent to my old property. I was hoping that by moving where my car is registered via the DVLA I would be sent letters to my new home as that's how they found my address recently. I'm worried I could be dealt a CCJ without my knowledge but I just didn't have the money to pay at the time, I know I should maybe have taken action but any advice going forward would be helpful. Should I just continue as I am or try to make some form of contact? Thank you in advance!

Have you read through the "Newbies" sticky thread? This answers the vast majority of questions people have.
You can't get a CCJ unless you ignore a court claim, the case goes to court, the Judge decides against you (1% chance of that happening if you follow our advice) and you don't pay what the judge told you to pay in the time frame.
What does your V5 & V5C say about the registered keeper's address? When did you update them at the DVLA?
It could be that UKCPS got your data from the DVLA before an address change.
Oh, and DRP are debt collectors - they cannot take you to court, only UKCPS (or their appointed lawyer) can.
You need to contact UKCPS and tell them your new address and make it clear that this is the address to serve any papers to for this PCN.
(Not sure about whether you need to tell DRP as well, the other regulars will advise.)0 -

Then safety first - send a letter to DRP too.
That should cover all bases. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Tell UKCPS to also inform any agent of theirs involved in the case.

OP - yep, definitely as per Umkomaas, also tell DRP. This is one instance where you do have to contact a debt collector but you normally ignore them.0 -
@OP, if using Royal Mail, send your letters with a free Certificate of Posting from your Post Office counter as with this, the letter is deemed by law to have been delivered by the second working day after posting.
Do not use (or pay for!) 'Signed For' (previously known as 'Recorded' or 'Registered') or 'Special Delivery' as some PPCs refuse to accept such, then all you have is proof of non-delivery.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I would use whatever address for UKCPS that's in their PRIVACY page, especially an email address.
Pretty sure Brown Trout posted an email for them that starts 'info@' last month.
For DRP you can use:
info@drpl.co.uk
But you MUST quote their reference from the DRP letters, not just the PCN number.
You will probably get a daft reply back saying it's too late to appeal!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello, thanks for your help! Yes they got my information when I lived at the old address but now I have moved and transferred my car ownership over too, but probably a couple of months after actually moving.0

Thank you I will do that, whilst not naming who was driving?0

Certainly no naming the driver. You are sending a DATA RECTIFICATION NOTICE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
