    Dunston, sorry my head is all over the place. Specifically would you mind confirming -
    What sort of timeframe is it for Legal and General to sort /settle this type of pension after someone passing after they have the relevant information?
    After submitting all certificates to which they have the originals including the death certificate, what is their next step and do we need to provide anything further?
    How often do Trustee boards meet to finalise things?

    There isn't a definitive timescale.

    If more info is needed, L&G will ask you for it.

    See post 9 in this thread, which is as accurate as anyone is likely to get - and also points out there is unlikely to be a trustee board involved in what is almost certainly a personal pension arrangement rather than an occupational scheme.

    Given the money will be outside the estate, it need not delay anything in terms of getting that sorted out.

    Hope the head stops whirring quite soon.

    Why not contact L&G and check with them? That's the most likely way to get accurate answers in your particular case, rather than asking about other people's experiences.
