I applied for my first credit card a couple of days ago from Capital one, today I recieved this text,
Thanks for your application, your reference no. is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Your account is being opened & we'll be back in touch in the next few days.
I was then able to sign into the Capital One website and it is showing a credit limit and the last 4 digits of the card number.
Does this mean I have been accepted or is there still a chance I will be declined ?

There's always a chance you'll be declined. Sometimes even after you've received the card.
But the signs are good.0 -
About 2 years ago I had the same message. From a CCJ dropping off 2 years ago I needed to start building credit again.
Within 5 days I received my card and activated and spent roughly £10 for my first purchase.
I then went to open an Vanquis, and a Marbles. They all have there full limits on them as they were small. £200 £250 and £300.
I now will never use them again as I got accepted for a Barclaycard with a whopping limit on it, even with a poor history. However repayments matter.
Look after it

I meant keep up with repayments even!0

Unless you are expecting something terrible to be discovered it would be reasonable to assume that you have been accepted0

I think Capital One take on most people as long as they dont have a fraud marker etc ?0

Hi, I would assume that you have been accepted. There's a minute chance you would be declined, but that's really only if you had a fraud marker on your credit file.0
