Electro osmotic damp proofing

I've just bought an 1890's terraced stone cottage which apparently had high levels of damp recorded downstairs.
We heard about electro osmotic damp proofing and wondered if it was better than other types of damp proof course.
Does anyone know if it's any good? And how much does it cost? I think we just need two outside walls treated.
