Don't take this as a definite end to this, very often these scammers still continue with their greedy grubby quest to relieve you of cash, or the manager just "forgets".
It's highly likely the pub is getting a little bung for every successful charge paid.

We see this quite often, the thread is hijacked, goes off on a bit of a tangent, and the OP, for whatever reason, doesn’t come back.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
