Paid by faster payment on Fri 29/3/19 and when I phoned today they confirmed receipt on the same day. The HMRC rep said he would apply it immediately to 16/17 and my personal tax account online was immediately updated. My pension forecast also updated immediately by £244 pa.When I phoned HMRC they said they would put a note on my file that I wanted to pay 2016/2017.

FWIW, we phoned HMRC and they said they had got the money and they confirmed they had applied it to the correct years. So hopefully all is well. They said they do not send acknowledgments, unless requested. When I pointed out we had requested one, they had no explanation except an apology.Many thanks for that. We'll give them a call. We know they've taken the money but they haven't acknowledged despite a request, so we've no way of knowing they've credited the correct years.0

Paid on the 27th February. Updated online on the 5th April so just over 5 weeks.0
