Credit reference agency

Options
Hi all
I am dropping you a quick email with ref to a topic that Comes up with show a lot, over the last few months I have been checking my credit reports due to being turned down for credit, perhaps in the past I havent had the best score and the places that I did have credit I ensured that they were paid on time.
In February this year I obtained my report from clear score who deal with Equifax and was a bit taken back when I wasn't on the electoral reigistar of which my name is on the council tax form.
This was raised as a dispute with both equifax and experian and updated.
When I tried for credit that my address came up as two different address but the same house, I spoke to the above agencies and this was also updated.
At the start of this my score was very low at 112 after a first month had past and been updated went to 207
While checking what is on my report I also came across two amount which needed to be paid these were paid and recpits received.
I am still waiting for these to be up dated on my report to date,so now I have all three agencies app to keep a eye my reports. And the most recent one which I had a couple of days ago by noodle was horrified to see people on my report who I don't even know and wasn't on the electoral register.
A dispute has been raised with about this and awaiting the out come.
So I dug deeper in to my accounts with the people I have credit with and was totally astonished what is a creditor that I have credit with showed that for the past 2 yrs I am a 1 payment behind.
I have contacted the Compamy today and raised the issue they have checked my accounts and said you are all up to date.
I sent them the list of payments that are showing these incorrect entries.
And waiting for the response from them, also I just had my new report today and one of the accounts shows I still owe £1557 this was questioned while on the phone to them and the amount is £397, I did ask when are the accounts updated with the agency they replied end of each month.
Ps thanks for listening I just think that this would be a good idea of checking your report regularly is required.

Thanks

  • Quite a lot here with no spacing or paragraphs.

Can you summarise what it is you want checked?
  • Gary,
Highlighted the issues with credit ref agencies, thought it would be of interest to all.
    Rr
  • Can you advise on anything else I should do.
  • I don't see the issues?

The CRA's can only report what lenders tell them to.

If there are any delays it's likely down to the lenders not updating the CRA's in a timely manner, or, if you get your reports free via Clearscore/Noddle/MSE then there are always at least 1-2 months behind in terms of a "realtime" view as they are only generated and updated on a monthly basis.
