UKCPS parking charge

Options
Hi,

I was at work last week and in my new vehicle which doesn't have a parking permit holder so I just placed it on my dashboard.

It has then fallen off as I've shut the door and I haven't realised.
A colleague then informed me I was receiving a ticket, so I ran down to the car and showed the attendant that my permit had simply fallen off and I was legally parked at my workplace.

I was informed that because the ticket was already issued that it couldn't be withdrawn so would have to appeal.
I appealed using the above reason and was informed this wasn't sufficient and still required to pay either the £60.00 discounted charge or £100.00 after 14 days.

Can someone advise what are the next best steps to take, as I really don't think that I should be required to pay this charge as I showed the attendant my permit and it was a genuine error?Any links to letters/templates that I can send will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Please read the sticky thread for NEWBIES which will answer most of your questions.
What a pity you gave away the driver's identity.

It is quite possible that a person or persons unknown deliberately bounced up and down on the car with malice aforethought. Did any of your colleagues see this happen?

What did your employer say when you complained and asked them to cancel it?
Do you have a union rep who can get involved? Complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Ignore anything and everything you get from now on unless you get real court papers as the scammers are IPC members and they don't have a fair appeals system worth bothering with.
The NEWBIES explains why it is safe to ignore debt crawlers.

If they were daft enough to take this to court I would predict thet they would crash and burn, as it is clearly a scam. The stickies tell you how to proceed. Complain to your MP.

On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.

Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

You do know UKCPS appeals are pointless as they are in the IPC? Read the NEWBIES thread, you appear to have missed it (see my signature, no asking for a link).

There is a scam operating in your works car park.

Send one appeal (not saying who was driving!) telling the facts that the ticketer KNEW the car was permitted and saw the permit and even had a conversation with the driver. Do not say ''I'' or ''me''.

Then ignore UKCPS unless they sue, in which case you'd have a defence and we'll help. No risk, no CCJ, nothing bad happens - NO PAYING THIS SCAM.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
