Below are details of a credit agency, by the looksof it, who are using a similar name to this website and who are maybe getting people looking for geniune help from this site, they type in that address by mistake, and these guys make a profit on this.

I think this should be investigated

  • I was just talking to them. Amid my panic and stress I assumed it was the same company.

Thankfully the community pulled me away from them.

It will depend on when trademarks were established and when these guys started trading.

If they can prove that these guys are using this name for the obvious reasons then they could have the domain removed.

Well we have an email address to complain too, harass, spam.

But i think we should see what the admins or martin has to say, because really its his site, and they are piggybacking on the success of it.

to be fair the colour scheme and branding are a lot different, and it is quite clearly a credit company at first glance.

There's a fast food shop in Wood Green called "Kennedy Fried Chicken". Now THAT'S a blatant rip off.

    But quite tasty.

How could you possibly prove that? Even an incorporation date that is after Martin's site began doesn't prove beyond a doubt that they were cashing in on his site's name. You'd need internal documents to prove it.

Yes, it is pretty cruel trying to lure in people who are looking for help. But as far as I know, this site doesn't hold the trademark for the words "money" and "expert" and having a similar url to another site isn't a crime.

You read about celebs who sue websites using very similar urls to their name. But in those cases they've usually got a trademark associated with their name and I'm pretty sure this site doesn't hold one on the words "money" and "expert". (Correct me if I'm wrong!)
