I agree that it would probably not offer the same cashback incentives as the US version over here in the UK, but wondering if it would be worth going for on security alone.

Card is chip and pin only, so no-one can use it as contactless.

Contactless on phone but fingerprint protected.

Card number and CVV not displayed on card so extra security there as well.

Just out of curiosity, why would the cashback incentives not be offered here?

People are speculating that no company this side of 'the pond' could sustain that level of cashback incentives since the EU got involved and basically capped the charges that credit card companies could charge. Have you noticed that there are very few cashback credit cards here now? And those that do 0.5% is considered very generous with only American Express offering slightly more, but even their rates of cashback are not what they once were.

(Secretly, I'm hoping everyone is wrong and Apple Credit Card will arrive here soon after it launches in the States and will give 2% cashback on everything using Apple Pay, but I don't think that is going to happen either)

It’s basically the same as all other credit cards already available.

But Apple invented it first of course :)

Are you saying all credit cards in the UK now charge 0% commission on forex transactions?

Can't imagine it would offer any perks in the UK. 2% cashback in the US is very "meh". When you take into account generous sign up bonuses then there are umpteen cards offering better in the US, chase, capital one, amex.
So if it's sub par then in the UK what would it offer? 0.1% cashback lol?

Wouldn't surprise me if it offered the full 3% on Apple Store and shop. That would be good once every 5 years then.:p
