Hi
I've just signed up to a Mint credit card to take advantage of their 0% deal, I had balances i wanted to transfer on a Barclaycard and an American Express Nectar Card.
The Barclaycard balance transfer has gone through fine, however Mint are now telling me that they can't transfer the balance from the Amex card. I've spoken to a couple of people on the phone at Mint who both failed to get the transfer done and eventually was told that American Express won't let them transfer a balance off certain cards.
So this leaves me with half my money on the Mint card that I've already paid a small balance transfer fee on and the rest of my money still costing my interest charges on the Amex card.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything I can do about it? Should others be warned about what seems to be a major flaw in the credit card hopping theory?

It's not a flaw per se... it's just that not all cards can be transferred by everyone. With ur standard visa/mastercard... this is rarely ever a problem, but with more unusual AMEX products and in particular store cards... there are occasions where the credit card company won't be able to transfer the balance. Sorry!0

Do Mint still do their 0% 'transfer & save' cheques?0
