UKPC Scotland - thanks!

Hi all, I just wanted to express my thanks for the guidance that this forum provided me in handling a parking fine from UKPC last year. I would normally pay legitimate council fines (and yes, I have had a small number in the past) but the UKPC incensed me as I was just parking in a normal car park, but stayed too long (according to them). Anyway, I'm in Scotland, so followed the advice and just ignored every letter they sent me. It took some guts because I was scared of falling on the wrong side of the law and it's not in my nature to ignore threats. However, everything played out as I was advised on the forum. The letters became increasingly aggressive, the penalty ratcheted up to over £300 and the debt recovery agency, that they pretended to pass on my "debt" to, sent a number of letters threatening court action. It's been six months now since the last letter (threatening court action), they have clearly given up on me. I win! Thanks!

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
