Indigo / AS / wrong ANPR

Hi
I don't want to waste anyone's time but would appreciate some brief help and clarification.
I have read the Newbies thread and threads about 'Indigo', 'AS', 'ITAL' etc.
Annoyingly I had not read them until now and I am at the ZZPS letter stage.
So please forgive me for that.
I decided to post after realising that the AS Parking / ITAL system is still quite new.
Mine will be a familiar case otherwise.
I parked in December at a railway station car park managed by Indigo.
I usually pay using the app but had left my phone at home.
So I paid using contactless (and have the bank statement to prove it).
30 days later I received a Penalty Charge Notice By Post from iPayMYPcn.
At this point I realised I must have inputted the wrong reg number (either for my other car or just a wrong digit by accident).
I was so sure this would be a simple thing to resolve (given I have proof of making a payment for the correct sum) I wrote back quickly.
My appeal was rejected. I was issued with an ITAL code and told to appeal to asparking.
Again, having not followed the wisdom on here, I quickly appealed - explaining that I had paid but perhaps used the wrong registation number.
That appeal has been rejected. I am at the stage where I have received my first ZZPS letter.
What is your advice?
Seems to me I could
a) do nothing and hope it times out (I am close to four month mark) - being prepared to fight it at next court stage if it reaches that point
b) get dvla andf/or bpa involved because AS Parking is not a truly independent appeal body
c) engage in further argument with AS Parking or Indigo on various grounds (PCN was issued after 14 days, validity of timescales, ANPR system reliability etc).
Happy to answer any questions.
Thanks

I would go for c) as it will cost them money, also have you complained to your MP?
On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I agree option c. Having given your details to ITAL I would say playing mail ping pong with Indigo (do not engage with the debt collectors) is the wisest way forward.0

I would do (a) but both (a) and (c) are fine. The DVLA re not interested.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
