Has anyone done a 'chain' of switches?

Has anyone done a chain of switches using CASS. By this I mean having a current account A and then switching that to current account B, then switching that account B to a new account C, and so-on.
If so, has anyone then tried paying (say) £1 into the old (now closed) account A and see if it makes it through the chain to arrive at the last current account and how long it takes?

CASS guarantee:We will arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account. We will also contact the sender and give them your new account details.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Because the thought entertained me, I just sent £1 from my Monzo account to my old First Direct details. This account was switched from them to Halifax, then to the Co-op, then to TSB, then to Nationwide, then to NatWest, and then finally back to Nationwide, over the course of roughly the last three years.
It hit my Nationwide account less than a minute later.urs sinserly,

I’ve done it and accidentally tested the chain when setting up a standing order to meet incentive criteria ... took a couple of hours but did end up in the right account.Save £12k in 2019 #360

If it's Bacs or FPS, then the redirect is central. It should go straight to your most recent account. It won't pass through your previous banks.0

I felt like NatWest were almost guilt tripping me not to include my account I currently have with them in the chain switching..........0
