Ebay keeps logging me out

Every time I log in and then click on a different page to view,I just get taken back to the log in page and have to log in again. This has been happening all day, so I can't do anything on Ebay at the moment.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have even changed my password, but it hasn't made any difference.

There is a special stored Flash Cookie that allows Ebay to recognize your device and any problem with it will result in you being constantly sent round in a sign in loop, this is why when signing in on a different device you normally get denied access and are asked for a security code. Check your Flash Cookie settings, Ebay should show up as stored there. Flash cookies are protected and are not cleared when deleting normal cookies or history.

It happens to me but when I go to do something different. Im viewing sold items, I'm logged on. I click on a sold item to print postage - I have to log in again.

I haven't managed to sort this out, I still have to constantly log in whatever I do.

Just wondered if anyone has found a solution.

Thanks, where would I find these flash cookies?

Never been asked for a security code to log into ebay?

Cookies are in your cookies folder.

    Windows 10 ? type shell:cookies into the start/run/search box

No, just the usual username and password when I log into Ebay.

I am still on Windows 7:)

  • Hi melbury, what browser are you using? I've always found just deleting all eBay cookies does the trick when my laptop does this. If it's firefox, then go to the menu =>options =>privacy & security. Scroll down to "Cookies and Site Data", click "Manage Data" and type "ebay" into the search box. Delete all the eBay related cookies that come up, then refresh the eBay page and it should work fine once you've signed in again.

I use Google Chrome. Have never experienced this problem before and then about a month ago it started - driving me mad:mad:

Would your suggestion work for Chrome? Do you mean to log into Ebay and do this on their site? Sorry I am not very techie.

    Many thanks for the advice.
