Car tax Increase coming up

My car tax is going to increase by £25 when it comes into force on the the 5th of april, my current tax runs out 30th april so cant renew before the increase. If I cancelled my tax online on the 31st of march then would I get the full month back for the next month and then simply apply on the 1st of april for new tax to start instantly to save £25

Brilliant idea if you'd done it last month. The increase starts on 1st April though.


If the £25 is more than a month's tax you could SORN it Friday and tax it at a Post Office on Saturday from 1st March for 12 months, and pay for March twice.

aw well my mistake then sure I was the 5th wouldn't be worth it then as it already costs £250 thanks anyway
