Bathroom tap spraying

Hiya,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice please.

When I turn on the mixer tap in my bathub, water sprays from the sides of the tap.

Does anyone know if there an easy way I can fix this or do I need to call a plumber?

I'm betting you live in a hard water area? It's probably limescale. If you can, get some vinegar and use an old toothbrush to rub it into and around the tap opening. Then fill a freezer bag with vinegar and tie it onto the tap so that the tap nozzle is suspended in the vinegar. Leave overnight then scrub off the remaining limescale with the toothbrush in the morning.

Your bathroom will smell like a chip shop for a while but it'll probably cure the problem.
