We've £20,000 we are needing to put away but need it in October 2022. Any recommendations of where to put it until then?

3 year fixed rate bond is the simplest thing. You earn a bit more by playing about with high interest current accounts & regular savers but it requires a bit of effort & opening lots of accounts

If Masthaven are in the ball park for best interest rate then they offer the option of a bespoke fixed term, e.g. 42 months rather than 36, so would give you the option to lock it away till exactly when you require it.

    Married couple?

Ever had Nationwide Flexdirect current accounts? Sole each each and a joint.

    Associated Regular Saver each.

TSB Classic Plus current account each and a joint.

    Perhaps TSB Regular savers.

Perhaps easy access savings account to hold the cash that you are waiting to save in the regular savers.

    Reconsider your options in 2020.

Would support Premium Bonds - worst case is you get no interest but best case...

Premium Bonds is a really good choice.
