Help needed tracing Loan company

Hi

I am trying to trace the name of a company we had a loan from in roughly 2005. Unfortunately I have paid off the loan and threw away all the paperwork.

I remember it was a big well known company. We applied over the telephone and were allowed the loan. They then sent a motorcycle courier that night to get us to sign the paperwork. The money was then put into our account the next day.

I would be very grateful if any help anyone can offer.

If it was paid off in the last 6 years, it should be on your credit files.

If not, it will only be in your paperwork or memory.

I had such a loan with the Bank of Scotland - applied for the loan on the phone and the documentation was delivered by courier who waited for my signature before returning the signed documents to the bank. I believe Halifax also sold PPI with loans on the telephone and had the loan agreement and the policy documents delivered this way.
