Morning everyone
It’s a nice sunny morning so I’m going to go for a walk in a minute before it clouds over later in the day.
Later I’ve got a few bits I need to get done in the house, then I can spend the rest of the day reading and dozing on the sofa.
RR your holiday sounds lovely.
JackieO enjoy the family gathering and have a good journey to Hertfordshire and back.
Snoozer have a good time in Yorkshire.
Gers I hope you journey back to Glasgow is ok.
TA I'm glad you enjoyed your trip out and look around different shops yesterday. It's the sort of thing I enjoy doing in the summer'
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning! Well, the day of too much eating is over! Hooray! I'm not eating now till next Thursday....just kidding, but no idea what we're having today, a nice salad of some type with a fritada of spinach and onion and parmesan I think, I've got lots of fresh farm eggs to use.
Going off later on to find a victorian bottle dump, I've been there once before but another friend wants to go and doesn't know where it is. The last time I went I came with loads of bottles and my most exciting find [to me] was a little piece of pottery with Clarice Cliffs signature on it, which my friend promptly placed in her new kitchen mosaic [it's a really good mosaic, using little greek plates as flower heads]. Also came away with lots of bottles but as usual, you find them, clean them, then don't know what to do with them....
Hope everyone has a fantastic day, wotcha absentees....
Sunshine-crazy Sunday!!!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Hello again. Just to reiterate for SNOOZER's benefit, yes it is sunny and dry up here in the North. Probably slightly nippier than further south so pack your woollies.
TAFF the Victorian bottle dump sounds intriguing. Give us a clue where it is in case any of us find ourselves in the vicinity any time!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all
John had a good night. Coffee and toast at 6.30. He managed a bath and breakfast was porridge and blueberries. Back in bed at the moment for a sleep. I get a bit of a break when he naps.
Snoozer glad Steve is well enough to go to Yorkshire. Gers glad Mum is doing well and you enjoyed going home for a bit.
Well hugs to sll and kind thoughts to all who need them. Have a good day folks."It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -
Morning all, what a lovely sunshiny day! It is great to be able to have a shower with the window open without shivering.
Washing on the line, newspaper read, I'm not doing anything much, hooray.
SO sorry to hear that you've joined the mystery bruise club, my shiner has faded a lot, just a bit of discolouration now so I look a bit more tired on one side.
Tonight's dinner will be roast chicken with etcetera.
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Afternoon all,
Wind is cold here today but I managed to clear the weeds etc from the flower box outside the porch......will sow some seed in it tomorrow or Tuesday and maybe give the outside of the box a lick of paint.
We are going to a show which DGD1 is in this afternoon, ...having dinner first , can't remember what but as DD3 is cooking all I have to do is eat!
Have finished the white dress that I have been knitting for DGD 6......the other 3 little granddaughters have put in orders so will start one of those tomorrow.
Have a lovely Sunday, safe driving JsackieO.

Good afternoon everyone :hello:,
Sorry I have been MIA but it's been a bit stressy here. Today is a good day though as the sun is shining through the window and Lee is in a much better mood finally.
Lilly went to Rome for four days this week and has also come home in a much better mood so it is all tranquil here today. Me and Lee made a big mars bar crispy traybake as a practice for my birthday next month. I am going to be 50 so as I can't go out I am having an open house with hopefully friends and family coming to see me for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
Steve is in charge of cooking today so we are having a roast chicken dinner later on. He's just going to take the dogs out though as they are pestering him a lot.
Glad to read such a lot of positive news this week from everyone. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Hi ….just been having a quick catch up. I've had a trip out today...went to the Metrocentre with DD and little grand daughter....her first trip on a train. Its DDs birthday tomorrow so she had money ( in advance!) to spend. Baby was as good as gold and was admired a lot....though unfortunately some people stare and comment about her tubes to whoever they are with. DD finds it upsetting, I tell her to just try to ignore it and think about the nice people.
Can't remember who asked...little DGD could be on oxygen for just a few months or up to a year....we just don't know at the minute. We had a lovely lunch and DD got everything she needed....I wandered round Primark and let her have time to look.
I had little grand daughter to stay on Friday night as DD had had a really bad migraine the night before and hadn't slept much. She was no bother and we had lovely cuddles....but oh the 2am feed is hard work!
After work tomorrow we're having tea with my mam and dad for DDs birthday so that will be nice
Better go as I have washing to hang on the airer before bed. Hope everyone has a pleasant week0
