Is it a good idea to lock internal doors when not in home?

If you have a monitored alarm with police response and strong internal doors then lock them. Anything that slows down the burglar is an advantage.
If you have neither of those things then it's pointless.0 -
What do the local police force and/ or fire service** and/ or your home insurance company recommend as regards home security (inc. locking internal doors)? I would expect there is plenty of advice on their websites.
** You know the house is unoccupied, but the emergency services do not.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
