  • You can move the sub-meter into their flat, or install a second sub-meter in their flat. Any electrician can do that. If these are residential tenants you can only charge them for their electricity at the same rate you pay, and your sub-meter must be MID approved.

Your tenants might be more amenable if you arrange a smart meter they can top up direct, which can be done as a landlord's sub meter through eg

Get them out if I were you.

The last thing you need is tenants giving you hassle, innit?

Even if you moved the sub-meters into their flat they would not get their own bill as it sounds like you only have a single Metering Point (MPAN).
For the flats to get their own bills and be able to switch supplier they need their own Metering Point and meter. A new metering point requires the Distribution company to connect them up and then a supply to fit meters. You would need to contact you local distributor to get a quote but don't expect it to be cheap.
