Hello.
I am new to S & S ISAs and would like some advice. I am considering opening an account and start investing for the long term (15-20 years). From what I have read on MSE, buying Vanguard Lifestrategy (VLS) might be a good start for a novice like me. I am leaning towards VLS 80. I think I will start by investing £2k before April and then start drip feeding £100/month.
Is there a good alternative to VLS I should consider? What is the best value platform for this purpose? It would be good if it's user friendly for somebody who is new to investing.
Many thanks.

Vanguard's own platform is cheaper than other percentage-based ones if you're only planning to hold Vanguard's own funds. Other pricing models are also available, so you can plug your anticipated investment profile into comparison engines such as:BohemianRhapsody wrote: »What is the best value platform for this purpose?

Ona timescale greater than 15 years I would think about 100% equity if you can be rigorous, accept there will be downturns, and not panic and sell during them, After a decade or so, if planning to cash in then think about going a little safer to mitigate more against out of the blue market events.0

Is Cavendish a good platform if I wanted to hold 2 different funds? Say VLS and HSBC GS? Is it user friendly?0
