I'm editing some photos, for some authoring software I'm using. The photos were already in the authoring folder, but were too big. I copied these over to a new folder to edit. I resized them, and copied them to the authoring folder, but when I tried to use them, they hadn't changed. What's happening? or not happening.
Forgot to mention, the folder I'm copying to, is situated on the C: drive, in the program file. That's where I'm instructed to save the images to run the program.

Check the time stamps or last modified. This may imply either you edited the wrong files or you didn't save your changes.

Note that if you're using the Windows Photo Viewer or whatever it will always shrink them down for screen viewing if the dimensions are bigger than the screen (say your monitor is 1366x768 and your photos were twice this. If you resize them by 50% the photo viewer will still show them you at the same sized down resolution).

I know they haven't changed, as the ones I had before had borders on, and they still have. I've even tried deleting the old ones, and copying the new ones over, but when I click on them, they're the old ones. I've used Gimp to resize them.

Did you save after resizing or just close the window?

Im guessing the authoring folder is not where you thought it was. when you say the (original) photos were already in the authoring folder, how did they get there? Check the settings of your authoring software (or tell us what it is) to confirm the folder location.
