Scrap it and put that towards your fine.

There was a picture on Pepipoo which has now been removed.

Parked with wheels on the (normal!) pavement outside a modern house with a driveway. No idea whether a private estate or not.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Sultan parked the car on the public footpath. His little flurry of posts ended rather abruptly when he was challenged on his definition of "pavement".

ETA: I was writing this as NeilCr posted. That explains it.

OP, since you believe you own the pavement outside your house, why not set up a toll booth and charge pedestrians to cross your land? You could put the cash towards your fine.

Methinks the OP does not like the answers he has received on here, nor those he received on Pepipoo. Perhaps "Honest John" will be kinder to him. :rotfl:

Yes pavement outside the house - there is nowhere else for me to park though????
So it is parked on the Queens Highway therefore it has quite rightly been clamped. The fact you don't have anywhere else to park it is your problem.

what about houses where the car is parked like that (those that don't have a garage etc)
You keep it taxed, insured and MOTd or you find somewhere to park it.

Also what do I do now, they said I would get 160 pound back if I get it taxed within 15 days but obv I don't want to drive this car - the engine is dead too!

You're going to be paying the back tax and the fine regardless. Scrap it or sell it on Facebook.
