benefits and small income Q

Hello there,
I've been on disability for a year or so, and have just been told I have a small amount of money coming in relating to work I did years ago when I was working. This will be in the hundreds, perhaps a little more but not enough to change my circumstances. Will I lose out on my benefits because of this? I don't know how this affects me but the extra would help. Thanks for any advice and keep positive!

If it is earnings it may affect any means tested benefits in the month in which you receive the money. You have provided very little information to be able to comment.
What benefits do you receive? What is the nature of the payment?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Without more information about the amount and frequency of the income it's very difficult to give any advice or answer the question about potential entitlement to benefit.0

Thank you for responses - disability. The amount is a one off payment relating to work done years ago. It's not that much - several hundreds.0

A one off payment should, at worst, only affect benefit entitlement for the week it is received. I don't know if it could be argued that the payment was for work done before claiming benefit so should be disregarded. Probably not, but possibly worth asking the question.0 -
Unfortunately "disability" doesn't tell us what benefit you are referring to so we are none the wiser as to whether you are receiving a means tested benefit which might be affected or non means tested benefits which will not.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Sorry I don't know what means-tested means. I have no income if that helps and cannot work.0
