Permit Valid: Fell off windscreen

Hi All

I have read the newbies thread but I have already appealed to CMS and mentioned who the driver of the vehicle was, I am now at the IAS appeal stage - I do understand from the newbies thread not to appeal at IAS stage unless you have strong evidence which I think I may have.

I parked in a work car park that I am entitled to, my permit must have fallen off from the adhesive and have now recieved a PCN - I appealed to CMS with evidence of my permit and was rejected, is my permit showing that I am entitled to park in the car park strong enough evidence and please can I have some guidance appealing to IAS.

Surely your employer can get this cancelled, if not, get your MP on board.

On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.

Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

You seem to be under the illusion that you are dealing with reasonable people. You are not.

Your evidence is not strong enough to beat the scammers in the kangaroo court that is an IAS appeal. The advice is in the NEWBIES for a reason.

As above, get your employer to cancel this. Get your union rep involved if you have one. Complain long and hard to your MP about this unregulated scam, pointing them to the new parking act and mention the comments in red from post 1 of the NEWBIES.

Do not bother with an IAS appeal where you stand a less than 20% chance of winning.
Ignore everything you get from now on except real court papers.

    Yes - don't do it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
