Afternoon all,
MIA but glad to see Steve has picked up and Laura is doing well too Snoozer.
Usual Saturday morning swimming and football with the DGC,just me and DS2 as DH had to pop to work.
We had a lovely evening last night,we all went to a Festival of Light up Rivington (if you look on FB for Rivington Terraced Gardens there are some photos if you're interested)It has been undergoing extensive renovations to repair what Lord Leverhulme built in the 1800s. It was a steep trek up,but it was all lit with tea lights-the volunteers had done a marvellous job, laser light shows amongst all the trees creating a magical atmosphere,a singer and a fire eater, and some food stalls.Quite a few frogs too which freaked DGD out a bit
but it's good to know the eco system is recovering after last summers Winter Hill fire!
Not sure what is happening food wise tonight, and both DS are out
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Evening.
I had a really lovely drive home in bright sunshine. The only rain was when driving through one town near Glasgow. My visit to DM was also good, she’s certainly cognitively back on the ball which is a great relief, the post op delirium was really scary for her and me.
Now I’m feeling guilty for being here and ‘leaving’ her in hospital. Yes, I know it’s nonsense so am engaging in an internal argument with myself. :rotfl: Just not fun!
I’ve done the washing which was lingering in the machine, put away the clean crockery from the other machine and filled the bird feeders. Sitting in my own chair is so good!

OL, we were marching with some friends of Laura and Brian today. One of them had brought his mum as well and Laura asked me to try to find out her name because she's forgotten it. It proved fairly easy because she said "Oh, we've not been introduced" and I said, I'm Sue, you are? She replied Lyn and Steve promptly said to Laura, in the loudest stage whisper "It's Lyn". Poor Laura was mortified.0
