Best reward cards, need some recs.

I'd like to know more about the absolute best reward cards out there. Not cashback, but rather reward points / reward miles / etc.
They can be Amex, Visa, MCard etc.
They can have annual fees.
Criteria (earnings etc) aren't important.
Interest rate isn't important.
FWIW I'll be using the one I choose for large USD($) spending each month.
I already have the Amex Virgin Flyers Club.
Any opinions / recs ?
