Best rewards card for spending £3.5k in next 3 months

Will be spending approx £3.5k in the next 3 months and trying to work out the best cashbacks/rewards available. Can anything beat the Amex Platinum which would earn me £100?

Assuming wherever you're spending accepts AMEX then I would think your chosen card is your best option.

Platinum Charge Card or Platinum Cashback Card?

The Cashback Card gets you 5% Cashback on the first £2500 spent (so £125 Cashback) then it’s tiered thereafter.

There is a £25 per annum fee for the card but if you are referred you also get £25 additional Cashback on your first £1 spent.

Unless you already have an Amex Card and you may not be eligible for the signup bonuses now.

If you are looking for strict cash then Gary's suggestion would be good.

However in terms of value I wouldn't overlook the gold card getting the 20k amex membership points which can then be turned into avios could provide great value along with the 2 lounge passes. But suppose that depends on how much you would normally pay for flights.

Another option would be to be upfront with the merchant(s), tell them you are getting a reward if you pay by CC and ask them if they can beat it if you pay them by other means...

Card wise - I think going with AMEX (Platinum with 35000 if you get referred) if you meet the criteria for the introductory bonus
