Missed deadline for appealing Parking Control Management UK Ltd

Hi,
I hope people can help.
I have been given a parking fine by Parking Control Management Ltd in December. I have been really stupid and listened to people saying don’t pay it and have completely ignored the letters.
I have now received a letter from the debt recovery company stating that I have missed the appeal stage and that I have 2 weeks to pay £160 but within that time Parking Control Management could initiate legal proceedings at any point.
I am completely panicking now. I work for the council and was showing a homeless young person a flat for 5 minutes with the housing association. I left a note in the car stating I am with the housing association and that was ignored and someone must have slapped the fine on my windscreen the minute I walked away. I am so angry as it feels like daylight robbery. It was not an allocated space and the car park was empty apart from one other car (probably the parking attendants!) I know I shouldn’t have parked there but just feel like 5 minutes was no grace at all.
Does anyone have any advise on my next move?
Thanks in advance

sit on your hands , there is nothing you can do and at the moment nobody can help you
even if you had appealed it would have been turned down and you would now be in IGNORE MODE
so you are now in IGNORE MODE , including ignoring these debt collector letters
come back if or when you get an LoC and/or MCOL in the post, within 6 years
read the IPC and IAS bumf in the NEWBIES sticky thread, and post #4 about ignoring debt collector letters0 -
Who is the landowner ?
They should be approached for cancellation particularly if it is the housing association.
This is explained in the NEWBIES thread which you should have been reading before posting.0 -

PCM PCNs are invariably a predatory scam (they were on Watchdog) and are won at court defence stage, and we can help with that. No risk, no CCJ, nowt bad!
Please read the NEWBIES thread. ALL stages are covered, including 'ignore the debt collectors'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
