Is it possible to watch Sky TV on a Smart TV with something like SKY GO?
If I visit my mother who has a new Smart TV but no Sky subscription is there anyway I can put my SKY GO details in and watch when I am there?

I believe you can use someone else's Sky subscription details to watch Sky not at their premises - but I'm not saying why!
In the past, as a Sky subscriber, I had the app on my tablet, plus a PushToTV adapter, and I was able to plug that into another TV and watch Sky away from home.0 -
We got Sky Q a few months go. The Sky Q app is very good but come into its own when we went on holiday in Europe. Although you cannot stream to TV (like the BT app) you can watch all your programmes including the sports and movie channels. For some unknown reason the only channel we could not get was BBC1.
I know that does not answer the OP's question but a quick google found this 'The reach and accessibility of Sky Q will also be extended with the ability to stream content to more devices at the same time, plus a Sky Q app will become available on Smart TVs and third party devices.' https://www.skygroup.sky/corporate/media-centre/articles/en-gb/sky-q-takes-another-big-leap-forward0
