DRO time frame

Hi all,
My DRO was submitted 4:30pm on Wednesday evening. I know the ‘time frame’ is 10 (working?) days but I was wondering if anyone knew whether it is likely to be 10 days or if anyone’s have been approved sooner? I ask as on Monday I had Bailiffs on my door and it really is a race against time. I’ve been advised to not let them into the property which is fine (however very scary) & also that it’ll take them much longer to get back to court for further action than it will for he DRO to be approved. Can anyone shed any light of this is correct? I’m also concernd about them adding more ‘fees’ on as I will then be liable for these.

Thank you

It does depend on how busy they are, but mine took 2 days from submission to being added to the list. That was a busy time as well. Fingers crossed you appear on the list very soon. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for replying. Is this the insolvency register? Do you know how long the DRO approval letter took after this? Thanks again.

I can't remember, but it wasn't long. Once you are on the register, though, you can give them the number and they can look it up themselves.

There's been a problem this week with the OR Finance department which meant no DROs were approved till Thursday.

As long as there were no problems with your Wednesday application it was possibly approved today. You may see it on the insolvency register tomorrow morning.

But if not, don't panic. Keep blocking the bailiff. You're not liable for anything once the DRO is in place.

I had a DRO approved last year and it also only took a couple of days or so. I'm sure that can vary though. Good luck and keep those doors locked up tight in the meantime!

Still not on the register :(. Starting to irrationally worry (which I’m sure is completely normal under this much stress).. Fingers crossed for the next couple of days. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Thanks everyone

    Hi,

I've just signed up to reply to your post, because I'm in exactly the same position. My DRO was even submitted on the same date as yours, and I've not heard anything back either.

Are you on the register yet?

Another helpful user said that applications were not being processed until Thursday 21st, so I'm guessing they have a bit of a backlog. I'm still getting a bit irrationally worried though!

    Hi Luminay

No, I’m still not on there. Im sure all will be fine for both of us, but the waiting is awful! I’ll let you know if I have any updates.
