Hi, my ex and I had a joint account if which I completed separation to take over account 3 weeks ago , she went to branch today with HSBC to sign her form to make it to my name. Zero balance etc , how long does it take for account to be make accessable again, they said it's up to the branch but seem a bit long winded.

Ask at the branch then?0

I would think that once the form has been signed by both of you they would contact both parties independently to confirm that both of you want the account to be split.0

Why not completely close the account and open a new one in your name?0
