I recently moved about £140k in £10k chunks by faster payments from Nationwide to various other banks and also NS&I. Over several days and no problems, no queries.0

umm, indeed, what i should have writ was: gosh! barclays only allow 30k a day! how very unfair!
-- all this messing about trying to transfer the money is seriously beginning to suck all the fun out of it!0 -
It says £50K on their website - and "To make payments over these limits, you’ll need to visit a branch".were all those transfers done in one day?
barclays impose a daily 30k limit.

Seems very straight forward to me.0 -

i thought it would be straightforward too!
though i should perhaps have been wary when the limits they set seem to vary according to which webpage one looks at e.g:

oh well, getting there slowly; have managed to move £130k so far. another 2 weeks or so should see it all done, but it sure does suck the fun out of having a large bank balance for once!0 -
What happened when you tried £50K? If it works - great! If it doesn't, file a complaint
Any reason why you didn't go to a Branch if you wanted to make the payment in one go? Although even Branch would have had to split it, as FP limit is £250K.0
