BOSCH S5 Battery issues

I bought a new Bosch S5 battery in January 2018 from a UK firm Just Car Batteries.
I gave tried to contact them as my garage has found faulty cells and requires replacing.
As the firm no longer exists, i have contact Bosch and had the fob off from Jack Rice stating i need to take up with company i bought from and not them.
Do i have any redress against Bosch as the company they supplied to has gone bust or is it a lesson learnt and make sure i let as many people know that Bosch cant be trusted to honour their warranty? Many thanks

No, only the retailer is liable for the replacement. You have no dealings with Bosch themselves.

Bosch will honour their warranty with the business they supplied the battery to. Your not that business.

Your statutory rights are against the supplier.

What do the Bosch warranty Ts & Cs say? Do you have proof of purchase?

Battery was £61.99 and yes have receipt. Bosch silver 075 Battery (S5004).
Believe the S5 has a 5 year warranty for what it appears to be worth. Bought off Ebay and used Paypal.
Found negative reviews re Justcarbatteries although no response to emails and phone number dead

Yes I had the same problems only I bought an S6 battery with a 6 year warranty. Jack Rice from Bosch said "All Bosch Automotive Aftermarket parts have a 1 year warranty against manufacturer defect". The battery I had bought was the correct one in their catalogue and then they removed it as though they had decided it wasn't suitable after all. I had bought mine mail order and decided that posting it back to the unhelpful retailer would just be a waste of postage. I decided in future to get all car batteries from eurocarparts where I can take them back easily. My cars have Exide batteries in them from now on. Never another Bosch.

Jack Rice must be Bosch customer dis-satisfaction manager. Totally committed to 100% customer dis-satisfaction.
